The AI Illusion:
“AI Slop”
There’s a reason this term has taken off.
It’s used to critique the growing use of AI-generated “art” and the lack of real skill, intention, and authenticity behind it. As AI has become more accessible, people have started valuing real creation again. Whether it’s paintings, cute cat videos, or even permanent makeup… the difference is becoming impossible to ignore.
I’ve seen more and more artists using AI to advertise their services, fill their websites, or even “educate” clients. And honestly? It comes off cheap and lazy. Because most of the time… it is.
But beyond aesthetics, it’s a much bigger issue: it’s misleading.
If someone isn’t showing real, healed results of their own work, you have to ask why.
Do they not have the skill yet?
Are they hiding poor results?
Or are they comfortable presenting something that isn’t real to gain your trust?
Because this isn’t just marketing, it’s your face.
When I see AI-generated PMU images, I don’t just see bad branding. I think about the clients behind it. The ones who trusted the wrong person and are now dealing with scarring, discoloration, or blurred, blown-out work that can’t simply be “fixed” in one session.
And the truth is, you shouldn’t have to dodge this.
But right now, you kind of do.
If a website or artist isn’t showing real work, there’s always a reason. And it’s rarely a good one.
You deserve results that are actually achievable.
You deserve transparency.
You deserve an artist who respects your skin enough to be honest about their work.
Because while it might feel “cheaper” upfront to go with someone less experienced or less transparent, it often ends up being far more expensive in the long run. Removal and Color Balancing services are not only costly, they’re time-consuming, unpredictable, and sometimes limited in what they can fully fix.
One of the hardest things I have to tell clients is that I can’t safely correct their work without first removing it. And for many people, that process isn’t financially or logistically realistic… even when they desperately want a fresh start.
So this is my honest advice:
Choose artists who show real results.
Choose artists who prioritize integrity over aesthetics.
Choose artists who are transparent about what they can, and can’t, do.
Because this industry doesn’t just require artistry, it requires integrity.
